In the UK and the Netherlands, State Street Investment Analytics utilizes the WM Company (WM) universes for peer group comparison. These universes are widely regarded as the largest of their kind in these markets and considered to be the industry standard.

WM has results spanning over 30 years and have the ability to construct bespoke peer group universes on request.

The “flagship” universe, the WM All Funds Universe, is generally made up of over 220 UK Pension Funds. Its aggregate value of over £441 billion represents around two thirds of all UK pension fund assets.

WM also produces subgroup analysis of the WM All Funds, the WM 50. This universe comprises 50 of the largest UK pension funds, each with a fund value of over £2 billion.
