Since our entry into the Asia-Pacific region more than 25 years ago, State Street has built a strong presence in the region to better serve our clients. Today, with approximately 3,500 employees* in eight cities throughout Asia Pacific*, we offer local investors a complete range of financial services across the investment spectrum, including investment servicing, investment research and trading, and investment management.

We established our local presence in Beijing in 2005, and acquired the branch license from China Banking Regulatory Commission in 2011. In addition to our Beijing branch, we have established a wholly owned subsidiary—State Street Technology Zhejiang Co., Ltd.in 2005 after a four-year partnership with Zhejiang University. We currently employ more than 1,800* professionals in Hangzhou. Our local presence in Shanghai was established in 2008, focusing on asset management service and exploring new business growing opportunity.
