The following is a partial list of entry-level job opportunities
at State Street.
Fund Accountant
Fund Accountants are responsible for the valuation of securities
and calculating the Net Asset Value (NAV) on a group of
mutual funds. Core responsibilities include processing income,
expenses and security transactions, delivering daily pricing
of mutual funds and producing weekly and monthly reports.
Portfolio Administrator
Portfolio Administrators are responsible for tracking all
cash and security transactions on a group of mutual funds.
Core responsibilities include determining start-of-day cash
for clients and investment managers, processing security
transactions, reconciling cash and share discrepancies and
producing weekly and monthly reports.
Portfolio Accountant
Portfolio Accountants perform all accounting and record
keeping functions for a group of pension funds. Core responsibilities
include determining start-of-day cash for investment managers,
processing income, expenses and security transactions, clearing
trades and valuing bonds, delivering monthly pricing and
producing weekly and monthly reports.
Financial Accountant
Financial Accountants assist with the planning, analysis
and execution of cash conversions. Other responsibilities
include involvement in initiatives and projects that support
our Securities Services unit.
Tax Reclaim Coordinator
Tax Reclaim Coordinators research and file tax reclaims
for clients investing in over 100 markets worldwide. Core
responsibilities include researching and preparing tax reclaim
forms, monitoring account openings and collecting reclaim
payments.
Corporate Action Administrator
Corporate Action Administrators are responsible for identifying
and processing entitlements for institutional investors
who are impacted by a corporate event that involves a material
change in the make-up of an investor’s security. Responsibilities
in this role may include researching events, identifying
entitled holders of the security, reconciling security positions,
notifying clients of events, communicating client instructions
to local market agents, and monitoring and posting settled
entitlements.
