State Street was appointed as custodian of the first U.S.
mutual fund in 1924; today, we handle more than 45 percent
of registered U.S. mutual funds under custody. Our Mutual
Funds business area is committed to providing exemplary
service to our clients in order to help them meet their
investment objectives.
Our customers are mutual fund sponsors, including investment
companies, brokers and dealers, insurance companies, banks,
corporations and stock exchanges. We provide custody, daily
portfolio valuation, multicurrency portfolio and general-ledger
accounting, financial statement preparation, fund administration
and shareholder accounting services, as well as cash management,
securities lending and foreign exchange services.
