Executive Vice President
Jerry Cristoforo is executive vice president and chief technology officer for State Street Corporation. Additionally, he is chairman and general manager of State Street Zhejiang Technology Company (SSTZ), where he pioneered State Street's partnership with Zhejiang University in Hangzhou, China in 2000. SSTZ has grown to more than 2,500 staff members working exclusively on State Street software development, production support and global asset servicing business processes.
Jerry is also a co-founder and board member of Hengtian Ltd, a joint venture between State Street and the Insigma Corporation. Hengtian has grown to more than 1,700 staff members providing financial technology services to global and mainland China financial institutions.
He serves as a senior advisor to the China Foreign Exchange Trading Center (CFETS), a senior lecturer at the Zhejiang University College of Software Engineering. In Y2012, he published a book in co-operation with the Shanghai Finance University on “Proposals for Reform of China’s Pension System.”
Jerry is a senior computer/securities industry executive with in-depth technology and management experience in advanced distributed systems architecture, product development, workflow re-engineering, large-scale systems integration, and project management.
Jerry holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in mathematics from Northeastern University and has served as Master Lecturer in the computer science department of Boston University.
