Nicholas Bonn is an executive vice president of State Street Global Markets and global head of State Street's Portfolio Solutions business worldwide, including its transition management, equity, fixed income and future trading businesses.
He also serves as president and chairman of the board of State Street Global Markets, LLC, State Street’s US broker/dealer subsidiary.
Prior to his current role, Mr. Bonn served as the head of the Securities Finance division and global head of sales for State Street Global Markets. During his tenure at State Street, Mr. Bonn established State Street’s broker/dealer subsidiary in the United Kingdom and currently acts as a board member of that entity. He has also served on various management committees within State Street’s asset management, trading and securities lending businesses. In 1992, Mr. Bonn joined SSGA where he pioneered State Street’s Transition Management product.
Prior to joining State Street, Mr. Bonn had been with the National Association of Securities Dealers since 1986, working in market and broker surveillance. Before that, he was with Fidelity Investments in trading roles since 1980.
Mr. Bonn holds degrees in finance and a certificate in accounting from Northeastern University. He is a former director of the Boston Stock Exchange, and currently sits on the board of visitors of Northeastern University’s College of Business Administration. He is a member of the Institutional Brokerage Committee of the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association and the American Bankers Association Securities Association. Mr. Bonn is a trustee of the Navigator Trust, a registered mutual fund.
