Ivan Matviak is an executive vice president at State Street Global Services. As the head of the Insurance Services business, Ivan leads the strategic direction and growth of State Street’s business with insurance companies and coordinates the delivery of solutions from across the bank. Dedicated to pursuing innovative solutions and exceptional client service, he is responsible for the overall relationship with our insurance clients including client service, relationship management, product strategy and business development. Ivan is a member of the Investment Services Americas leadership team.
Prior to his current role, Ivan was head of Global Exchange North America and led the DataGX and Software business lines. Ivan was part of the executive team that launched the GX business in 2012 and led the development and roll out of several new business lines, including the data management service DataGX. Ivan joined State Street in the Investment Management Services business where he had responsibility for new middle-office client engagement and provided consulting services to existing State Street clients.
Ivan brings nearly two decades of multinational executive experience in financial services, strategy consulting and consumer industries. Having led numerous global teams, he has lived and worked in New York, London, Paris and Johannesburg.
Prior to joining State Street, Ivan was managing director of Halifax Bank of Scotland’s business banking division serving small and medium enterprises across the UK. While at HBOS, he also worked in the Investments and Insurance divisions where he was responsible for strategy and implementation of large-scale business change. Earlier in his career, Ivan was a Senior Consultant for Bain & Company where he focused on private equity and corporate strategy.
Ivan holds a B.A. and an M.A. in international relations from the University of Pennsylvania, an M.B.A. from the Wharton School of Business and is a Fellow at the Joseph H. Lauder Institute for International Studies.
Ivan is actively involved in a number of industry and community organizations. He is a member of the Board of Boston Partners in Education and Historic Newton.
