Cyrus Taraporevala

Cyrus Taraporevala is head of the Global Institutional Group at State Street Global Advisors (SSGA), the investment management arm of State Street Corporation and a global leader in asset management. In addition, he is responsible for overseeing the post-merger integration program for the recently announced acquisition of GE Asset Management. Cyrus is also a member of SSGA’S Executive Management Group.

Prior to his role at SSGA, Cyrus led Fidelity Investments’ Retail Managed Accounts and Life Insurance & Annuities businesses. He was also responsible for Planning & Guidance Tools across the retail and 401k businesses. Previously, he led the Product function for all retail and institutional investment strategies at Fidelity.

Cyrus joined Fidelity from BNY Mellon Asset Management, where he was head of North American Institutional and Retail Distribution, as well as being responsible for Global Marketing. Cyrus has more than 25 years of experience in asset management. Prior to his roles at BNY Mellon Asset Management and Fidelity, he helped to oversee Legg Mason’s institutional business, directed business strategy for Citigroup Global Investment Management and was a partner in the Financial Institutions practice of McKinsey & Company.

Cyrus received his bachelor’s degree from Sydenham College, University of Bombay and his MBA from Cornell University’s Johnson Graduate School of Management. He serves as a board member and chairs the Investment Committee of The Trustees of Reservations.
