EMEA Regulation Update
2014 ended with a big bang when the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) published its technical advice to the EU Commissions on the Markets in Financial Instruments Directive (MiFID II) giving crucial details on how the overhaul framework will work.
And we see no signs of a slowdown in the regulatory environment for the coming year. The Eurozone is anxiously looking at the possible impact of the outcome of the Greek elections and May elections in the UK will be another key events. Overall, we see another rather challenging and interesting year ahead of us.
