The Community Event Sponsorship Program resides within the Corporate Citizenship department at State Street. Supporting the communities in which we live and work around the world is one of State Street’s fundamental values. The Community Event Sponsorship Program contributes to enriching these communities through corporate contributions to charitable organizations that serve disadvantaged populations.
The Community Event Sponsorship Program strategy is devised by 39 Community Support Program (CSP) Committees in 26 countries responsible for making event sponsorship funding decisions and managing relationships with local recipient organizations. In the United States, event sponsorships are granted to organizations and agencies designated as not-for-profit 501(c) (3) entities by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). In communities outside the US, we provide event sponsorships to charities that are deemed 501(c) (3) equivalents.
The Community Event Sponsorship program complements the social investment strategies of the State Street Foundation Grantmaking Program and the Employee Volunteer Program.
Community event sponsorship investments foster strategic, comprehensive partnerships with charities around the world, raise awareness and visibility around key community issues and engage State Street employees by providing networking opportunities.
