State Street Ranked No. 1 Overall in Global Investor / isf’s Equity Lending Survey
Within its peer group of the largest lenders, State Street ranked No. 1 overall in the Unweighted, Weighted and Footprint rankings in Global Investor / isf’s Equity Lending Survey. The Global Investor / isf Equity Lending Survey asks lenders and borrowers to rate their counterparts across a number of service categories. It is a major performance benchmark for the equity financing industry. (September 2012)
State Street Listed On STOXX® Global ESG Leaders Indices
The STOXX® Global ESG Leaders indices is an innovative series of environmental, social and governance (ESG) equity indices that are based on a completely transparent selection process. Following this year’s annual index review, State Street has been listed on the STOXX Global ESG Leaders indices for the second consecutive year. This index model allows investors for the first time to fully understand which factors determine a company’s ESG rating and why these factors are important. As a result, the STOXX Global ESG Leaders indices have set new standards in terms of full transparency and comprehensiveness in the ESG indexing space.
State Street named to the DJSI North American and World Indexes
State Street remains on the Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI) in North America and the World for a seventh consecutive year. The DJSI is regarded as one of the premiere sustainability indexes in the world. There are several regional indexes – North America, Europe, Asia Pacific, etc. – but only the top-ranked companies make the 340-component World index. Financial companies are represented in the financial service sector (FBN) and banking sector (BNK). We were one of only six North American-headquartered financial companies (both FBN and BNK) to make the World index. The survey is conducted annually on publicly traded companies for their Environmental, Social, Governance (ESG) performance rated on three dimensions: economic, social and environmental.
State Street Global Advisors named Most Recognized ETF Brand
In 2012, SPDR® ETF was named Most Recognized Brand for the fifth consecutive year in The Global ETF Awards. The annual Global ETF Awards® bring together the industry’s leaders in celebrating the dynamic growth of the exchange traded funds market. (April 2012)

State Street was named Best in Securities Lending in The Asset’s Triple A Transaction Banking Awards. The Asset is a premier financial services publication in the Asia-Pacific region. Its awards recognize institutions and individuals that have made a significant contribution to the development of the finance industry in Asia. (March 2012)
