Stefan Gmür
Chief Executive Officer

Stefan Gmür is an Executive Vice President and the CEO for State Street Bank International GmbH, Munich and global head of the Official Institutions segment.

Prior to this role, he was head of sector solutions for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), responsible for sales, cross-sell to existing clients, M&A and large-deal activity across all of State Street’s client sectors.

Stefan Gmür joined State Street in 2002 with 15 years of experience in new business development securities operations, client service, cash management, trade finance, equity trading, securities lending, relationship management and marketing.

Prior to joining State Street, Stefan spent five years with Deutsche Bank, based in London and Frankfurt. He served as a managing director of Global Securities Services, overseeing the client management and sales divisions in the United Kingdom, Europe, the Middle East and Africa. His responsibilities included P&L, sales/relationship management and client service for depotbank, onshore fund administration, custody, cash management and trade finance.

Prior to his appointment with Deutsche Bank, Stefan Gmür held senior level positions at Bank Leu AG, JP Morgan and The Bank of New York.
