Ann Fogarty
Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer of Investment Services and Head of Global Delivery
Ann Fogarty is executive vice president and serves as Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Investment Services at State Street and head of Global Delivery. In this role, she leads global operations across Asset Servicing, Middle Office, Alternatives, Transfer Agency, and Billing Operations.
As Investment Services’ COO, Ann is responsible for global operations and technology strategy, ensuring the enterprise service model is scalable, resilient, and able to support growth, increasing market complexity, and evolving regulatory requirements. She employes an approach of deep oversight and governance across business activities, maintaining a resilient and robust risk and control environment. Her remit as COO also includes oversight of global hub locations, as well as client onboarding and implementation activities across Investment Services.
Additionally, Ann is the co‑lead for enterprise transformation at State Street, working closely with senior leaders accountable for driving transformational change and performance improvement. She ensures transformation is business‑led, technology‑enabled, and consistently measured, delivering tangible and ambitious outcomes for clients, employees, and shareholders.
Ann is a member of the Executive Committee, the company’s senior leadership team, and Chair of the Supervisory Board of State Street Bank International GmbH, the firm’s European bank.
Previously, Ann was an Executive Committee member at BNY Mellon, where she led the global operations organization supporting the full client investment lifecycle and oversaw a workforce of more than 20,000. During her tenure at BNY Mellon, Ann held several senior global leadership roles across funds, custody, and treasury services. As head of Europe, Middle East and Africa Fund Accounting Services, she was responsible for operations across Ireland, the United Kingdom, Luxembourg, and Germany. She also served as Managing Director of BNY Mellon Fund Services Ireland Ltd., delivering fund accounting and transfer agency services to mutual fund, ETF, and alternative investment clients.
Ann is a Board member of the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association (SIFMA), the leading trade association for broker‑dealers, investment banks, and asset managers in the United States and global capital markets. A proud Irish native, she has served on multiple committees of the Irish Funds Industry Association and is a founding member of the Irish chapter of the 30% Club, which promotes greater gender balance in senior leadership.
Ann holds a Master of Arts degree in Human Resources and is a graduate member of the Marketing Institute of Ireland.
