Putting our expertise to work for nonprofits 

Our employees gain invaluable skill and leadership development through volunteer opportunities that support our charitable partners around the world.

We offer:

  • Skills-based volunteer projects that tap employees’ expertise to strengthen our community partners
  • An employee-led global community of Corporate Citizenship Councils that work with local community partners to provide grants and support those partners through volunteerism, engaging local colleagues
  • Resources to empower employees to volunteer with the organizations and causes they care about the most

Amplifying our employees’ contributions

Through State Street Foundation’s Matching Gift Program, employees can monetize their volunteer service time, match their charitable donations, and double their fundraising efforts, amplifying the impact our employees are already making in our communities.

Through this program, State Street Foundation:

  • Donates US$500 for every 16 hours of an employee’s accumulated volunteer time at a charitable organization
  • Provides 1:1 matches for personal financial donations to charities globally
  • Matches funds raised through employee participation in select fundraising efforts, such as a walk for charity
