Senior Vice President, Branch Manager, Luxembourg Country Head

Riccardo Lamanna is a senior vice president and country head of State Street in Luxembourg. Appointed to lead the Luxembourg branch in 2021, is responsible for developing business, stewarding client engagement, developing talent, and building the company’s brand and market network, in addition to maintaining strong and proactive regulatory relationships of State Street Bank International GmbH, Luxembourg. In March 2022 Riccardo has been appointed Managing Director of the Executive Management Board of State Street Bank International Munich. In December 2023, his delegations as Managing Director of SSBI EMB has been expanded to include Products Management and Depositary Bank.

Prior to his current role, Riccardo was the head of Alpha Business Development for EMEA and the legal entity head. Previously, Riccardo also led State Street Bank GmbH International, Italy branch where he was responsible for the Global Services business for Italy and The Netherlands. Moreover, Riccardo served as a member of the Board of Directors of State Street Bank Luxembourg and a member of the Board of State Street Global Exchange GmbH, the entity through which State Street delivers Global Exchange products.

Riccardo started his career at JP Morgan in 1991 working in Milan, London and Paris, where he worked in operations supporting the proprietary activity of the bank as well as custody and clearing services for third-party clients. He then moved to Banca IMI, the investment bank of Sanpaolo IMI, where he served as head of Back Office and Middle Office functions. During his tenure at Banca IMI and Intesa Sanpaolo, he worked with Monte Titoli, Banca d’Italia and Borsa Italiana to develop the Italian Securities Settlement Systems, Express II. He also covered Product Management for Multi Direct Custody and Clearing at Banque Paribas based in Paris.

Riccardo graduated in Business Administration at Università Cattolica, Milan.
