Jeremy Kream is the executive vice president and head of Legal, Corporate and International at State Street. He is responsible for overseeing the international legal teams and managing corporate matters, including securities and governance, mergers and acquisitions, strategic transactions, technology and intellectual property, human resources, compensation and benefits, procurement, and real estate. He also serves on the board of directors of subsidiaries and internal committees of these functions, and is the assistant secretary of the parent holding company, State Street Corporation.
Prior to joining State Street, Jeremy served as the vice president, senior counsel and assistant secretary at MFS Investment Management. At MFS, he was responsible for legal support of the institutional investment management and international distribution businesses along with securities and governance. He was also a member of the firm’s policy committee. He practiced law in the Corporate Department at WilmerHale, where he was a junior partner and served on the firm’s Technology Advisory group.
Jeremy holds a Juris Doctor degree, cum laude, from the University of Pennsylvania Law School and a Bachelor of Science in economics, cum laude, from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
