
Sarah Timby
Sarah Timby is executive vice president and Global Technology Services (GTS) chief information officer and International & Global Technology Risk Manager at State Street. She is responsible for the delivery of all IT services to the EMEA and APAC regions, including new infrastructure, application and cyber strategies to support business growth. She also manages the SMF24 for the United Kingdom regulators responsible for Operational Resiliency and is responsible for the first line of defense across GTS, globally. She is a main interface to our 40 regulatory bodies and leads the global technology risk management team and the global technology resiliency programs. Sarah also serves as executive director of State Street Global Markets International Ltd., and State Street Fund Services Ireland boards.
Sarah has more than 30 years of experience across financial services in delivering large global transformation within operations, technology and coverage functions. Prior to State Street, most of her career was at Barclays Bank, with key senior roles such as Chief Operating Officer for the International Corporate Bank, Chief Information Officer for the Global Payments business and the COO for AML, Fraud and KYC. Sarah is known for being an empathetic and transparent leader who is incredibly successful at creating a culture that drives productivity and risk excellence.
She is actively involved with The Prince’s Trust, a charity organization in the UK, that supports vulnerable youth and young adults to develop their confidence and skills to secure education and employment.
