Mark Keating
Executive Vice President, Interim Chief Financial Officer

Mark Keating is executive vice president and interim chief financial officer (CFO) for State Street. Mark is responsible for all Finance functions and M&A, and has joint oversight for Corporate Strategy. The Finance functions that he oversees include Treasury, Controllership, Tax, Financial Planning & Analysis, Business Unit Finance and Investor Relations. Mark also oversees the State Street Global Markets and Global Credit Finance Businesses in support of the client franchise. He is also responsible for Corporate Services, including both Procurement and Real Estate. In addition, Mark is a member of the Executive Committee, the company’s most senior strategy and policy-making team.

Previously, Mark was chief financial officer (CFO) for Investment Services at State Street. Investment Services is our largest business unit and encompasses Client Segments, Coverage & Sales, Product & Digital, Alpha Services, Charles River Development, Global Delivery and Global Technology Services. He is also responsible for the Finance organization supporting our Corporate Functions.

Mark joined us in 1990 and has held a number of executive finance, business and strategy positions. He has broad international experience, including 12 years in Zurich, Luxembourg and London. He served as the Europe, Middle East and Africa and International CFO for more than 15 years where he was a member of the Executive Management Board of State Street Bank International, Germany and has held a Senior Manager Function designation under the UK FCA’s Senior Manager Regime.

Mark has an undergraduate degree from the Boston College Carroll School of Management and a Master of Business Administration degree from Babson College where he concentrated in international finance and economics graduating summa cum laude. Mark is currently the chairman of the board of trustees for the Cathleen Stone Island Outward Bound School and is our executive sponsor for the State Street Veteran’s Network (VetNet).
