Akiko Terada
Senior Vice President, Representative Director and President, State Street Trust and Banking Co., Ltd.

Akiko Terada is senior vice president, representative director and president for State Street Trust and Banking Co., Ltd. (SSTB). She was appointed director in June 2012.

Ms. Terada joined SSTB in December 1998, and her focus has been on asset servicing business. This includes assignments in State Street Australia, and SSBT (Boston). She has also been a key member in a number of major projects, including the State Street proprietary system project and the start of insurance outsourcing business. Since June 2012, Ms. Terada is responsible for relationship management.

Prior to joining State Street, Ms. Terada was with The Long-Term Credit Bank of Japan (LTCB, today’s SBI Shinsei Bank). Her core duties at LTCB were in public relations and IR in addition to working at LTCB’s securities subsidiary in Switzerland.
