State Street Foundation
As a global organization, we recognize the role we play in supporting the economic vitality of our communities. Through State Street Foundation, our charitable arm, we make grants to nonprofits and non-governmental organizations, with a focus on creating lasting economic benefits in the communities where we live and work. Since 2010, the Foundation has invested in high-performing nonprofits that are achieving measurable results in basic education, college success and credentials, and employability.
We know that being a good corporate citizen drives employee engagement, enhances our reputation with clients and potential employees, improves brand recognition and builds public trust. In addition to financial support, the Foundation also manages a charitable board matching program, providing training and support for State Street employees to serve as members of boards of directors for charitable organizations. A matching gifts program that monetizes employee volunteer time, matches donations and supports fundraising efforts helps us to further support our local communities.

To provide more information about our mission, funding eligibility, the application and review process and more, our grant-making strategy and approach are described in detail.
Expression of Interest
Although our application process is byinvitation only, we invite organizations seeking consideration to provide somebasic information through our website. We review this information annually in thefourth quarter. Only those organizations chosen to receive furtherconsideration will be contacted by State Street Foundation, Inc.
A Focus on Racial Equity
In 2020, we engaged an independent, external consulting partner to systematically evaluate our current grant portfolio from a racial equity perspective. As we looked to further address systemic racism in education and employment, we added racial equity as a funding focus in 2021.

Through financial support and volunteer outreach, we help community organizations draw on the resources and talents of our employees.
