US Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Disclosure

Global Inclusion Diversity and Equity Crowd moving

Our employees come from many backgrounds and have a wide variety of life experiences. As a global organization, we recognize and value the different perspectives and strengths that diverse teams contribute, and we have set goals to help us improve on our diversity and inclusion efforts over a five-year period.

EEO-1 data is just one of the ways that we measure progress toward our diversity goals. The EEO-1 is a report filed with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, which collects workforce data from employers with more than 100 US employees.
We know we have more work to do, and we are committed to making measurable progress. In our 2021 ESG Report, we expanded on our efforts to address racism and inequality by disclosing our 2018 EEO-1 survey data, which outlines our employee data by race and ethnicity, gender and job category. The below charts outline our 2021, 2020 and 2019 EEO-1 data.

We continue our efforts to recruit, retain and promote more Black and Indigenous employees, and other employees of color, as well as expand the support provided to our more than 24 employee networks.

We’ve also enhanced our training and global partnerships, and launched 10 State Street Actions to strengthen racial equity across our firm. In addition to these efforts, we continue to hold ourselves accountable through in-house and public commitments.
