Spiros Giannaros is executive vice president at State Street Corporation, and CEO and President of Charles River Development, a State Street company. In this role, he is responsible for day-to-day operations of the company including product development, sales and services for the Charles River Investment Management Solution. Spiros also leads the design and build of the target state architecture for State Street Alpha®.

Most recently, Spiros was head of Platform Strategies at State Street. Prior to that, he served as the global head of Enterprise Data Management (EDM) and a partner at IHS Markit (formerly Markit). In this role, he managed the firm’s EDM, warehouse and reporting businesses, software managed services, and the thinkFolio business, an order management and portfolio modeling system.

Prior to joining IHS Markit, Spiros spent 15 years at Charles River Development, where he was a managing director for the Americas, vice president of Sales, sales executive and director of Pre-Sales. In these roles, he was responsible for sales, strategic account management and product marketing.

Spiros holds a Bachelor of Science degree in finance and marketing from Boston College. He actively supports the community through volunteer work focused on the education of underserved communities, pediatric cancer research and the improvement of youth sports. He sits on the Board of Directors for School the World and for Hingham Sports Partnership; he is also closely aligned with School on Wheels of Massachusetts. Spiros is a member of the Global Advisory Board for the State Street Professional Women’s Network (PWN) and the Boston College Chief Executives Club.
