Theresa McLaughlin

Theresa McLaughlin is executive vice president and chief marketing officer at State Street Corporation. In this role, she leads a global team responsible for marketing and brand strategy, reputation management and earned media, client experience, digital marketing, marketing operations, and sales and product alignment for the company.

Most recently, Theresa was executive vice president and chief marketing, customer experience and citizenship officer at TD Bank Financial Group, where she led TD’s marketing, customer experience, analytics and community teams in North America.

Prior to TD, Theresa held leadership roles with several top financial institutions in the United States and the United Kingdom.  Previously, she was with Citizens Financial Group as group executive vice president, chief marketing and communications officer and head of corporate and government affairs as a member of the company's senior executive team.

Theresa was named to American Banker’s Top 25 Women to Watch and has been recognized by several industry organizations for her work in financial services marketing and community involvement. She is a winner of the bronze Cannes Lion, multiple EFFIE awards and an Emmy Award. She also received recognition from IR Magazine for Best ESG Reporting. She previously served on the boards of Pathways for Education in Canada and in the US for Horizons for Homeless Children and the Greater Boston Food Bank.

Theresa has a degree in marketing and has been a financial services professional for 25+ years.
