Matteo Andreetto
Executive Vice President, Global Head of Next Generation Business Development and Digital Wealth,

Matteo Andreetto is executive vice president, and global head of Next Generation (NextGen) Business Development and Digital Wealth for State Street Investment Management. In this role, he is responsible for driving the firm’s global growth across emerging distribution channels, digital wealth platforms and next-generation client segments. Reporting to the chief business officer, Matteo leads the development of innovative partnership models and works across regions to expand State Street Investment Management’s reach in evolving distribution ecosystems. Matteo is a member of State Street Investment Management’s Executive Management Group and Europe, Middle East and Africa Executive Committee, as well as the firm’s Global Operating Group.

Previously, Matteo served as head of Intermediary Client Coverage for Europe, where he led the firm’s intermediary business strategy across the region. He oversaw European intermediary client coverage teams and worked closely with colleagues across product development, marketing, capital markets and infrastructure to deliver global solutions aligned with client needs. During this period, he played a key role in expanding the firm’s ETF franchise and in launching and scaling its ETF-as-a-Service offering, enabling asset managers and wealth platforms to bring their own ETFs to market.

Prior to joining State Street Investment Management in 2018, Matteo was chief executive officer and head of Index Services at STOXX, part of Deutsche Börse Group, where he was responsible for the global distribution of indices, data and services. Earlier in his career, he held senior roles in capital markets and distribution at Goldman Sachs, Bank of America Merrill Lynch and UniCredit.

Matteo holds a Master of Science in economics and finance from Bocconi University in Milan and is a graduate of the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School.
