Jeremy Kream is executive vice president and head of Legal, Corporate, and Regulatory at State Street. He is responsible for legal oversight of all corporate and bank regulatory matters, including securities and governance, mergers, acquisitions, and strategic transactions, federal and state bank supervision and regulatory compliance, global treasury, technology and intellectual property, human resources, compensation and benefits, and third-party management. He also leads the provision of legal counsel to our Global Credit Finance and Secured Financing businesses. He serves on the board of directors of principal offshore operational subsidiaries, on executive committees related to the areas of his responsibility and is assistant secretary of the parent holding company, State Street Corporation.
Prior to joining us, Jeremy served as vice president, senior counsel and assistant secretary at MFS Investment Management. At MFS, he was responsible for legal support of the institutional investment management and international distribution businesses, and securities and governance. He also was a member of the firm’s Policy Committee.
Jeremy also practiced law in the Corporate Department at WilmerHale, where he was a junior partner and served on the firm’s Technology Advisory Group. At WilmerHale, his practice focused on mergers and acquisitions, capital markets transactions, governance, securities reporting and compliance, and general corporate matters for publicly and privately held clients in a range of industries.
Jeremy holds a Juris Doctor degree, cum laude, from the University of Pennsylvania Law School and a Bachelor of Science degree in economics, cum laude, from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
