Pankaj Vaish
Executive Vice President and Global Chief Investment Officer, Treasury

Pankaj Vaish is executive vice president and global chief investment officer, Treasury for State Street Corporation.

Prior to joining us in 2023, Pankaj was chief investment officer of PV Capital Management LLC, a global macro firm.

Previously, Pankaj was global head of Citigroup’s Emerging Markets Rates and Treasury. In this role, he led a 200-member global organization spanning 70 countries, managed the bank’s Emerging Markets Treasury portfolio of Local Currency Sovereign Bonds and client-facing businesses, and instituted a common technology platform globally for performance and risk analytics. During his tenure, he was also head of All Markets and Securities Services for Citi Mexico and Citi South Asia.

Earlier in his career with Citibank New York, Pankaj was responsible for the North America Equity Derivatives Trading & Structuring, Global Commodity Derivatives, and North America Fixed Income Derivatives Trading activities and managed the Global Hybrid Options desk and Credit Derivatives trading. He also spent several years in Macro Hedge Funds and was appointed global managing director at the age of 29.

Pankaj has lived in the United States, United Kingdom, Asia and Mexico and is fluent in Hindi, English and has advanced proficiency in Spanish.

Pankaj earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from MIT. He is also a UWC-USA alumnus.
